Founder + Performance Authority

Human-performance expertise, built for motorsport decisions.

Fortis Performance was founded by Nicholas McCouch, DPT, CSCS, to bring disciplined human-performance reasoning into the environments where drivers, teams, and academies already use coaching, telemetry, engineering, video, and setup expertise.

The goal is not to add another stream of generic fitness advice. It is to help determine what the current evidence suggests, what remains uncertain, what deserves action next, and what should be confirmed or refuted through comparable retesting.

Why the credentials matter

Driver performance is a human-performance problem—but not every performance problem is driver-side.

Human movement + control

Physical capacity, movement quality, workload response, control, and fatigue can matter when interpreting a driver-side signal.

Strength + conditioning

Targeted development can be appropriate when the evidence indicates a physical performance limiter—but it is one tool, not the default answer.

Evidence discipline

Fortis keeps vehicle, setup, tire, traffic, session, and driver–vehicle interaction explanations open when the evidence does not justify a driver-only conclusion.

Fortis is a motorsport driver-intelligence company. DPT and CSCS expertise informs the driver-performance framework; Fortis does not present every performance issue as a clinical, rehabilitation, or strength-and-conditioning problem.

The operating principle

Assess. Interpret cautiously. Act specifically. Retest.

Fortis starts with the driver, integrates available performance context, separates probable driver-side signals from competing confounders, identifies the next justified development action, and defines what comparable follow-up would need to show before confidence increases.
